These barrels are ready to drop into a Desert Tech chassis by the end user.

• We have a large number barrel assemblies that are completed on the shelf and ready to ship. Our inventory is constantly changing and if we don’t have the finished barrel we may already have the barrel blank to make a barrel setup you want. • These barrels are compatible with the current SRS-A2 Standard and SRS-A2 Covert chassis. They are also compatible with older SRS-A1 and SRS Gen-2 chassis as well. SRS Gen-1 compatible barrels can be ordered but are not regularly kept in stock. Contact for lead time.

• No fitting or gunsmithing required. Barrels are complete and ready to mount in a Desert tech chassis.

• The barrels do not have the cutout for the barrel locking lug to engage the barrel. The barrel locking lug isn’t needed for the “return to zero” mounting system used by Desert Tech. The barrel locking lug’s only purpose is to hold the barrel in place if the torque bolts weren’t torqued down. If you were to point the muzzle down without the torque bolts being engaged the barrel would fall out of the chassis. That means to prevent the barrel from falling out while torquing it down just slid the barrel into the chassis all the way until it seats on the feed ramp. Then slid in the bolt assembly and close the bolt to lock the barrel in place ready to be torqued down. Keep the muzzle pointed up while you are torquing down the bolts to complete the installation of the carbon fiber barrel. When torquing down the bolts use the same factory specs that Desert Tech uses which is 80 inch pounds.

• When we have the barrels chambered, machined, and threaded we use prints with instructions provided by Desert Tech to ensure that these custom barrels are inline with high tollerances set by Desert Tech.

• Barrels can work as a full conversion kit by adding a Desert Tech Bolt Assembly, magazine, and in the case of short action calibers an optional bolt stop from the Desert Tech accessories section.
