The Desert Tech MDRX-FE is a compact bullpup semi-automatic rifle system designed by the unrivaled precision bullpup rifle manufacturer.  

It is designed to function with .223 Wylde (.223 Rem or 5.56 Nato), .308 Win (7.62x51 Nato), .300 Blackout, and 6.5 Creedmoor all in the same platform.  It's compact size and superior ergonomics maximize its portability without sacrificing speed, power or precision.  The MDRX FE allows for mission specific adaptability by changing the rifle's length, sound signature, and/or caliber.  It's fully ambidextrous design allows for seamless shoulder transitions. 

The caliber conversion process takes around 2 minutes and involves changing the barrel assembly, Bolt Head, magazine well spacer, magazine retention bar, and forward ejection chute. Some calibers use some of the same parts and don’t need to be swapped out. ie .223 Wylde to 300 Blackout or 6.5 Creedmoor to .308 Win..

With the introduction of the MDRX-SE (side eject) in .223 Wylde you will be able to purchase a side ejection kit to convert any MDRX-FE to a .223 Wylde side ejection. In addition you can use longer 20” barrels in any MDRX rifle. There are companies offering aftermarket custom barrels and triggers to upgrade your MDRX.
